Elpida Velmahos

Elpida is an associate in the firm's Health and Business Law practice group. She represents medical and dental as well as other healthcare providers in various transactional and regulatory matters.

Elpida joined Pierce & Mandell after working as a medical malpractice defense litigator. During her time in law school, she participated in the Health Law Moot Court, Health Law Clinic, and served as Symposium Editor for the Journal of Health and Biomedical Law. She worked for the Boston Public Health Commission and CRICO Strategies. Prior to getting her law degree, Elpida received a Master's in Public Health from Columbia University in Health Policy and Management with a concentration in Health Policy Analysis. She completed projects for various organizations like Humana, BronxCare, Emblem Health, and The New Jewish Home.

Elpida speaks fluent Greek and Spanish. Outside of work, she enjoys to cook and garden.
